"GPS guide" is intended for video and audio files playback with anchoring to geographical coordinates, using topographic maps. In other words for every position on the map you can set a certain media file, that will be played when this position will be reached. You can use any JPG file as a map! You don't need any special programs for map creation. With this program you can create your own map in a few steps.
As position data source it is planned to use an external Bluetooth GPS receiver or embedded GPS receiver, that will be seen as COM port.
Let's see some examples of usage. "GPS guide", that is installed on a laptop in a city bus, can play video or audio files with description of local sights exactly at the moment of passing them. With using "GPS guide" in transport you can also organize geocontext advertising. In this case advertising material of exact shop will be played at the moment, when passengers can see mentioned shop through the window. |
